Aran Islands Tour from Galway - Inisheer, Cliffs of Moher & Cliffs of Moher Cruise

Meet outside Kinlay Hostel, Merchants Road, Galway (arrive 15 minutes early). Your driver/guide takes you along the Wild Atlantic Way through the Burren, with commentary on the landscape and history. You’ll pass through Clarenbridge, Kilcolgan, Ballindereen, Kinvara and Ballyvaughan, taking in medieval ruins, tower houses, ancient stone forts, and traditional countryside along the way.

Your driver/guide hands you your ferry boarding pass for the crossing to Inisheer, operated by Doolin Ferry Co.

A 30-minute crossing with views of Galway Bay and the Clare coastline. Keep an eye out for bottlenose dolphins, which sometimes follow the ferry.

Explore at your own pace: narrow lanes between dry-stone walls, the iconic Plassey shipwreck, an ancient castle and church, and quiet white sand beaches. Bicycle or pony and trap hire is available if you’d like to cover more ground. Several food outlets on the island offer lunch (not included).

Weather permitting, the return sailing detours beneath the Cliffs of Moher for a dramatic sea-level view. Watch for seals, puffins, and other seabirds along the cliff face.

Entry to the Cliffs of Moher and the Atlantic Edge visitor centre is included. Standing 214m high and stretching 8km along the coast, this is a Wild Atlantic Way Signature Point and Ireland’s most visited natural attraction.

The return journey follows the Wild Atlantic Way and Burren Loop along the County Clare coast, passing Fanore Strand and Black Head, with photo stops where possible.

Tour concludes at Merchants Road, Galway.
